But think about it they said at blizzcon that icecrown will be 3.3 then Arthas dead and that is impossible not the fact that he is dead but look at the cata trailer in the start it says something like as the battle with the lich king continues how can we kill him in 3.3 as players say we will. We can't and we won't get shadowmourne in 3.3 cause they said at the cata panel that they will give us it instead of frostmourne but if its in the cata panel then the sword isn't in game before cata is that because of the epic questline to get the sword will be finished in cata and not before or is blizz just thinking about making Arthas survive and then we kill him again?.
I think its pretty confusing because most people thinks Arthas will die in 3.3 will he die and lich king survive and become a new person or will both survive and be killed another time(remember that even frostmourne can't be destroyed in 3.3 cause lich king still has it in cata trailer) So the reason I made the topic is because I want to hear what you means and maybe if I am the luckiest person in the world hear blizzards opinion but I dont think I am.

the trailer just implies that while we're focusing all our energy on arthas azeroth is changing. just becouse they mentioned LK in the trailer dosent mean that he'll be a part of cata

Uuh... wasn't it said somewhere (I think at blizzcon) that the cataclysm occurs BECAUSE Deathwing leaves Deepholm? He litteraly "erupts" into our world causing the elemental plane to connect with our world and causing the cataclysm... at least that's what I understood.

That's about right, and since the Elemental Plane is one dimension divided into four, the other three elements come along for the ride (making the Cataclysm truly bad).

Possibly an ingame event (which will happen one way or another been confirmed by the person who designs the ingame events) they were throwing around an idea that we may be stranded in Northrend for a while... Also don't forget that was a trailer for the game not a cinematic for a release so it could have been the narrator documenting present events rather than a transition of them. However that is just down to how you interpret what was said really.

We'll the reason for us not getting frostmourne is that it would corrupt us and therefor it's higly unlikly that we're actually gonna use parts of it.... more likely that tirion will smash it or something.. and the axe is prob just some trash arthas has lying around ;P
And in the trailer they say while the battle agains the lich king contineus the heroes of azeroth fight for a lasting peace, but there can't be no peace when the world itself is devouered with rage.....
it's not implying that lich king will get killed in cata, and most definitivly your not gonna make the axe in cata if you get it in wotlk...

From what I've heard, everyone storms Icecrown Citadel, which collapses from the weight of all the Tauren, killing everyone. Deathwing pops back up to check what the hells going on when he accidentally breaks the world. Thus everyone is forced to reroll because they're permanently stuck under the Citadel, but they die on they're new alts because Deathwings flying about trying to apologize for the Cataclysm but he keeps burning people, what with the fire breath thing. Eventually everyone will simply hide underwater forever and grow gills etc, leading to Hemet Nesingwary thinking we're fish and hunting us.

Arthas is a king, hes the king of lorderon. The human race in WoW has never had a unified king, nor does Varian claim he is one. Currently ingame (ad being added to in Cata) you have the King of Stormwind (varian), the King of Lorderon (Arthas), KIng fo gilnaes (Genn Greymane, comon his name even sounds like hes a bloody wolf!!!) and the Ruler of the naval state of Kul'tiras, Jaina Proudmoore.
edit: Forgot Danath Trollbane in OL, hes technically the ruler of the kingdom of Arathi.

arthas attack eastern kingdom and kalimdor
we attack in northrend all the quest/leveling stuff happens we kill sartharion kelthuzad and malygos
braan finds out yogg'saron is in ulduar forcing us to deal with him
tirion holds the argent tournament to find the greatest heroes of azeroth to join him
we attack icecrown citadel and defeat arthas(what exactly this will mean is yet to be seen) whille(or shortly after) all this happen deathwing returns starting the cataclysm
this is when 4.0 will start
