Hope so, I think the new forms look tacky and kinda disgusting, also having to change hair colour to change form sucks too

Yeah if you're willing to part with the hair / skin colour you' like ;)

I'm just glad my hair colour matches grey bear and blue cat like the old ones :D

As a statement against blizzards lazy work, I'd rather keep the old form.
Also, I think the new one is smaller... maybe it's because it has tiny horns...

I'm the reason Sentinel Hill never gets rebuilt.

hmm, i guess on page 10 or 20, there is a post like this as well.
people have clearly stated why Blizzard wont 'give them back'/'keep them'.
so, if the answers in here dont satisfy you, i suggest you look over there.

They have stated that the old forms will be gone.

Warlocks cried as well when their old succubus was gone.

I could reject the forms altogether because cat forms do lack whiskers, a key phenotype element which effectively makes them a predator at all.

Lack of whiskers is the least of their problems, infact, if they did add whiskers, it would probably be a lame sprite effect and look horrible anyway. The new models have so many issues they are just not fun to play. The bears for example only have a passing resemelence to the static screenshots. They have broken front legs, drag their heads along the ground, their claws are permanantly stuck under the world, the hair effects on their backs (bear mains? for lack of a better word) and the elbow feathers appears to be a copy/paste from the current life form, equally low resolution, but now "enhanced" with a huge stripe on the underlying back texture.

Because the front legs are so low, when playing from a chase cam, all you see is the bears ass, and its tail (and the tail animation is bugged too) At least on live, even on a fairly low camera angle, you can see along the bears back, and see the top of the shoulders, and tip of the head too. With the new bear, you pretty much have to guess how far you are from a mob when getting into melee range, or play 1st person. And as before shifiting to cat/bear gives you a lower first person view than even a gnome gets... which is odd as if you stand bear/cat and gnome side by side, im sure the bear/cat eyes are no lower than the gnomes.

The addons like jewelry are sprites, which clip horribly, and look worse if you spin the camera above the bear / cat.

I think the new models have lots of potential as a work in progress, but as they stand at the moment, I would take the current alliance bear/cat forms over the new ones.

So far the only "issue" that blizard have "fixed" was a slight shaking of the bears back legs when jumping, so for the moment it looks like the new forms are pretty much "approved" by blizard. Shame, the more I play on PTR the less I like them.

Possibly true, probably even a result of their own evaluation although it is easily possible to render such thing in 3D without resorting to sprites. Nevertheless it makes a felidae a predator, and without them it couldn't hunt well, if at all. I'd rather have them taking away those collars and work on some more feline features.

I agree on keeping the old forms available, the new ones look as if they were drawn by a 8-year old girl who likes all things pink... Old night elf cat form looks much better than any of the new ones

Well even tough the new forms are far from perfect, anything is improvement from this wyvern/lion/cow hybrid abomination that is horde cat form.

Agreed that i'd prefer to use the old bearform, but maybe they'll fix these issues...after expansion or two <.<

Yeah, they didn't keep the old epic mounts either, so same with forms. Obviously.

The old form is pretty much a mix of other models thrown together by a drunk janitor.
How are forms that actually have some work put into them a sign of lazyness?

To avoid innuendo the Wii should´ve been called the Perfect Nintendo Entertainment System, or pnes for short.

Of course they have. Why would they keep the older, inferior forms. They are graphically worse, and whether people like them or not they will be replaced with the new ones.

Imagine if they kept all old content...
"We've nerfed your spec, but if you don't like it feel free to use the old one".
